Buying a flat in Mataró
Mataró is the capital of the Maresme and its largest town, offering the sea, a marina, urban beaches and all the services you would expect of a city (hospital, university, shops) around 30 km from Barcelona. It was the starting point of the Iberian Peninsula's first railway, the Barcelona–Mataró line, opened in 1848.
The property market here is wonderfully varied: flats in the centre and close to the sea, more affordable residential neighbourhoods, and houses in the higher parts of town. At 11ars we are based in Argentona, just a few minutes away, and we have sold a number of homes in Mataró. Here is what you need to know before you buy.
